The 2019 Rural Run 22nd September Results - go to winners page for this years times.

The 2019 run was a resounding success with 78 runners. We appreciate the price has increased but it is necessary for the run do what was intended. The objectives are

  • Provide a local run that will be enjoyable for all and challenging for the more serious particiant
  • Cover the costs of insurance, medical cover and provisions
  • Provide a surplus to assist in the day to day expenses of the MUGA (Multi Use Games Area)

For 2019 there were the following classes each with a male and female category
Adult  16+
Under 16
Under 12

Special note to the Goodliffe family where mum ran with Millie, Lottie and Pippa to get 1,2 and 3 in the under 12s and mum ran complete with a push chair. Dad said he would have loved to have run but had to go and ring his bell in Erpingham church joined by our local decorated dignitary Alan Witham who came limping into the car park with a similar excuse. We were all looking forward to the toll of the bells as a backdrop to our race so it must have been my hearing that I did not hear them !

Many thanks to our many marshalls and those who help make this such a well organised event. Ray and Jonathan have been providing water half way round since the race started. Most of the organising is done by Ann the secretary and Bill who is the main race manager in terms of ensuring everyone is in the right place.

Tea, coffee, soft drinks and cake were provided in the village hall following the race when the prizes were awarded. Many
thanks to the school and the ladies who did the work

We look forward to your support again in 2020.
